The X models add dual 1,500 kg upper scissor lifts, so wheels come off for tyres, brakes and suspension without a second hoist.
Worth knowing: the FP3500X at $14,960 AUD costs less than the FP4000 Standard at $16,170 AUD. If wheel-free access matters more than the extra 500 kg, the X is the better buy.
If a chain breaks, a spring-loaded mechanical stop hook engages.
A wire breakage device stops the platform collapsing if a wire fails.
Hydraulic flow shuts off automatically through an oil flow cut-off valve.
An optional pneumatic-hydraulic jacking beam lifts one axle independently.
Side sill blocks are 70mm as standard, with 115mm optional.
A 4 post hoist is freestanding, so it relies less on the slab than a two post hoist does. What is the difference between a standard and an upper-lift four post hoist?
A standard four post hoist lifts the vehicle on its wheels, which is all you need for servicing, inspections and storage. Upper-lift models add scissor lifts that raise it clear of the runways, so the wheels can come off.
How much does a four post hoist cost in Australia?

Can I use a four post hoist for wheel alignment?
Yes, a 4 post hoist works well for wheel alignment because it holds the vehicle level on its wheels. If you need the wheels off the runways partway through, the optional jacking beam handles that.
Can a four post hoist be used for car storage or stacking two vehicles?
Yes, a 4 post car hoist can hold one vehicle up top while another parks underneath, doubling a bay’s storage. Ceiling height decides whether it works, so we check it on site first.
Does UNIPAC install the hoist as well as supply it?
Yes, our own team installs every four post hoist we sell, across Australia and without subcontractors. We check the floor, ceiling clearance and power first, then take care of the installation and commissioning ourselves.
