The two Bishamon models we supply

SPA4000W Symmetric Type

Equal-length arms keep the centre of gravity between the posts, which suits utes, SUVs, vans and light trucks. You can drive in from either direction. See the full SPA4000W specifications.

SPA4000 Asymmetric Type

Shorter front arms make for a narrower footprint and let the vehicle sit further back, so there’s more room to open the doors. It’s best suited to sedans and passenger cars. See the full SPA4000 specifications.

Safety and control features

One lever handles both hook release and lowering.

Arms lock automatically when lifted, with dual levers for adjusting each arm individually.

A flow control valve keeps lowering smooth and the lever light.

Twin hydraulic cylinders, with automatic shut-off protection if the system fails.

The contact pads take a range of pad types, so you can match them to the underbody.

Two post hoist installation and site requirements

Contact us

A two post hoist is only as good as the slab it’s anchored to. Before we quote, we check slab thickness and concrete strength, ceiling height over the bay, power supply at the hoist location and how traffic flows through the workshop. We do the installation ourselves, anywhere in Australia, and we never subcontract it. See how our vehicle hoist installation works.

Five-year warranty, and who we build for

Both models come with a five-year warranty. Most hoists on the market get two or three. We’ve been fitting out workshops since 2011 for clients including Toyota Motor Corporation Australia, BMW Australia and Genesis Motors Australia. Read more about our team or browse the full portfolio.

Two post hoist FAQs

What’s the difference between a symmetric and an asymmetric two post hoist?

Symmetric hoists use equal-length arms to centre the vehicle between the posts, which suits utes, vans and SUVs. Asymmetric hoists have shorter front arms, giving sedans more door clearance.

How much does a two post hoist cost in Australia?

UNIPAC’s Bishamon two post hoists, the SPA4000W and SPA4000, are both $9,900 AUD with a five-year warranty. Pricing across the market depends on brand, capacity and warranty, so it pays to compare like for like.

Can a two post hoist lift a ute or 4WD?

Yes, a two post hoist can lift a ute or 4WD if its rated capacity covers the vehicle’s weight. For those, we’d point you to the symmetric SPA4000W, as its equal-length arms suit bigger vehicles.

Two-post or four post: which should I choose?

Choose a two post hoist if you need wheel-free access for brakes, suspension and tyre work. A four post hoist is the better fit for drive-on servicing, wheel alignment and storage.

Does UNIPAC install the hoist as well as supply it?

Yes, UNIPAC supplies the hoist and handles the installation in-house, anywhere in Australia. We assess the site first and commission the hoist before handing it over.
